Objectives

The “Space Education for All” Working Group (SE4A WG) is aiming to:

i)
enhance STEAM education with effective usage of space education materials,
ii)
provide all people with space education and training opportunities, and
iii)
promote mutual understanding among countries in the region through exchanging experiences, knowledge, and information.

The “Space Education for All” Working Group (SE4A WG) was originally established as the “Space Education and Awareness” Working Group in 2001 and changed its name to “Space Education” Working Group in 2014. This working group offers a forum to exchange information on educational activities and to discuss how to provide space education and training opportunities to all people. Its scope of activities ranges from early childhood education, secondary education, higher education, to adult education in formal and informal manners.

CanSat Competition

Activities

  • APRSAF Poster Contest
    The APRSAF Poster Contest has been organized since 2006 for children across the Asia-Pacific region. The contest is currently open to children aged 6 to 12. Participants express their dreams and visions for space through artwork based on an annual theme. Selected entries from each participating country and region are exhibited at the APRSAF Annual Meeting and on the APRSAF website. Award-winning posters are selected through voting conducted both at the APRSAF venue and online.
  • APRSAF CanSat Competition
    The APRSAF CanSat Competition brings together high school student teams from across the Asia-Pacific region to foster international exchange while showcasing their technical skills and creativity in CanSat development. The competition has been officially held since 2025.
  • Space Education Seminars / Workshops for teachers
    The Space Education Seminars provide training opportunities for educators with the aim to support teachers to incorporate space education activities and materials effectively into their classrooms.
  • Social Media Usage
    The WG opened a Facebook page from December 2012 to exchange information on space education.

APRSAF-32

Call for Abstracts: APRSAF-32 SE4AWG Annual Meeting

The Space Education for All Working Group (SE4AWG) of the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF) is pleased to invite abstract submissions for the APRSAF-32 SE4AWG Annual Meeting.

The Annual Meeting will be held on 27–28 October 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, as part of APRSAF-32, which will take place from 27–30 October 2026.

The meeting will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing both on-site and online presentations. While both presentation formats are welcome, on-site participation is strongly encouraged.

SE4AWG welcomes presentations related to space education and outreach in the following sessions:

Primary and Secondary Education
2.
Higher Education
3.
Youth Empowerment (Student Presenters)
4.
Diversity and Inclusion for Space Education
5.
CanSat Competition Session

Presentation topics should be relevant to the objectives and scope of the Space Education for All Working Group (SE4AWG).
