1. Celebration of IYA (International Year of Astronomy) -2009, Bangladesh
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Inaugural Ceremony of IYA2009 was held on January 1 at Enayetpur, a village which lies about 80 miles northwest of Dhaka and is widely known as Space Village for its high profile Celebrations of the World Space Week, held since 2005.

2. The Current Situation of THEOS
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thailand has benefited enormously from space technology over decades. The country's activities in this area are related to Earth observation, communications and science. With the aim of fulfilling Thai users' requirements in the Earth observation field, the THEOS program was initiated in July 2004 under the responsibility of and developed by the Thai space agency GISTDA (Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency).

4. Report of APRSAF-15 Water Rocket Competition

As joint educational activities for primary and secondary school students and teachers, a series of APRSAF-15 side events (APRSAF Water Rocket Event) were successfully held, initiated by APRSAF Space Education Working Group (Vietnam, December 13-14).
