Prof. Dr. Thomas Djamaluddin

National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN)

Prof. Dr. Thomas Djamaluddin is the Chairman of the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN) of the Republic of Indonesia. Formerly, Prof. Djamaluddin served as the Director of Climate and Atmospheric Science Applications Center of LAPAN from 2007 to 2010. In 2011, he was assigned as the Deputy Chairman for Space Science Affairs of LAPAN until in early February 2014 he was then appointed as the Chairman of LAPAN up to now.

Prof. Djamaluddin achieved a Master and a Ph.D. degrees in Astronomy from the Kyoto University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Astronomy from the Bandung Institute of Technology. He was awarded a Research Professor in Astronomy-Astrophysics in 2009.
