Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rokhis Khomarudin is a senior researcher and Head of the Research Center for Geoinformatics at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Indonesia. He holds a Ph.D. in Remote Sensing Geography from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany, and master's and bachelor's degrees from IPB University, Indonesia. His expertise includes remote sensing, geoinformatics, Earth observation, disaster management, and environmental monitoring. He has contributed to numerous national and international research initiatives and received international recognition for his contributions to disaster management and agricultural monitoring. He is currently spearheading the Geoinformatics Multi-Input and Multi-Output Indonesia (GEOMIMO) initiative as a strategic step toward establishing Indonesia's National Earth Observation System, integrating satellite imagery, geospatial information, and other data sources to support evidence-based decision-making, disaster risk reduction, environmental sustainability, and national development.
