Reinabelle C. Reyes, Ph.D. is the Director of the Space Science Missions Bureau (SSMB) of the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA). She leads research and development initiatives across diverse disciplines integral to advancing space science missions that would drive national and economic growth and foster scientific progress.

Prior to joining PhilSA, she was an Associate Professor at the National Institute of Physics, University of the Philippines Diliman. She received the Outstanding Young Scientist Award for Astrophysics from the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) in 2023. She is passionate about building a more nurturing, empowering, and inclusive ecosystem for scientists, researchers, and innovators for the benefit of all Filipinos.

She obtained her high school diploma from Philippine Science High School Main Campus (Batch MC ’01, valedictorian), BS in Physics from Ateneo de Manila University (summa cum laude), Diploma in High Energy Physics from Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics in Italy, and PhD in Astrophysics from Princeton University, USA. She was also a postdoctoral fellow at the Kavli Institute for Cosmological Physics at The University of Chicago.
