Dr. Jong-Shinn Wu

Dr. Jong-Shinn Wu is the Director General of the Taiwan Space Agency (TASA), leading the nation’s strategic space programs and international cooperation efforts. He is also a Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, where he founded the Advanced Rocket Research Center (ARRC) in 2012.
Dr. Wu has held key leadership roles across academia, government, and industry, including serving as President of the Taiwan Space Industry Development Association (TSIDA), President of the Taiwanese Association of Plasma Science & Technology (TAPST), and CEO of Taiwan Innovative Space, Inc.
He earned his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (1994) and both his M.S. and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University. His research expertise covers rocket propulsion, plasma applications, rarefied gas dynamics, and scientific computing.
