Dr. Damrongrit Niammuad is the Deputy Director of the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), Thailand's primary space agency.

He earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University, Thailand, a Master of Science in Radio and Space Science Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden and hold a Ph.D. in Industrial Business Administration at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology (Ladkrabang), Thailand.

Throughout his career, he has held significant leadership and committee roles. He is Co-chair of Multi-GNSS Asia (MGA) since 2023 , and previously served as Steering Committee for the same organization from 2019 to 2022. He was the Chairman of the ASEAN Sub-Committee on Space Technology and Applications (SCOSA) in 2021 and Vice Chairman from 2018 to 2020. He also received notable awards, including the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF) Long-term Contributions Award in 2024 and the Outstanding Public Sector Executive Award from Moral Awards in 2019.
