Yuya Nakamura is the president and CEO of Axelspace Corporation, a microsatellite startup based in Tokyo. He earned Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from the University of Tokyo in March 2007, after having been actively involved in 3 nanosatellite projects at the university, including the world’s first successful CubeSat. After serving as a researcher at the university for 1.5 years, he founded Axelspace with his colleagues. Since the establishment, he has led successful microsatellite projects for various clients including Weathernews and JAXA. Also, he has been a member of the Committee on National Space Policy since 2015.
