Cultural Background |
| LAPAN, which was established in 1963, is an administrative
organ, and directly reports to the President. The main
activities are earth observation and upper atmospheric
research. In addition to playing a central role in developing
remote sensing satellite technology, LAPAN is performing
the research work on information and communications, particularly
focusing on the electric wave rainfall attenuation research. |
ITB is the Institute of Technology, which was established
in 1959 by the Indonesian Government as an institution
of higher learning in the field of science, technology,
and fine arts. Its mission is to contribute to the development
of the community through these learning.
