Based on the cooperation agreement between both the Governments of Thailand and France, the Thailand Earth Observation System (THEOS) program has been established. The THEOS satellite is the first high-resolution Earth observation satellite for Thailand to be operated by a Thai public organization, Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA).

#006 Launch of INSAT-4B, India - March 12, 2007

ISRO's latest communication satellite, INSAT-4B, was successfully launched on March 12, 2007, by the European Ariane-5 ECA launch vehicle of Arianespace. Weighing 3,025 kg at the time of launch, INSAT-4B is the second satellite in the INSAT-4 series.

Established under Government's decision, the Space Technology Institute (STI) was inaugurated on April 3, 2007. #003 Snow leopard project involving, fitted GPS collars using the Argos satellite system, Pakistan

Dr. Tom McCarthy (Conservation Director of the Snow Leopard Trust), and the Wildlife Department of Pakistan, initiated a project in Chitral Gol National Park (CGNP), located in northern Pakistan, collect critical data on snow leopard home-range size, movement and activity patterns, use of travel corridors, intra-specific distances, and human-snow leopard interactions.
