2. ISRO releases Remote Sensing Data Policy (RSDP-2011)
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
India has released its new Remote Sensing Data Policy (RSDP-2011). According to the policy, restrictions on providing remote sensing data are relaxed and all remote sensing data with resolutions up to 1 m will be distributed on a nondiscriminatory basis and on an "as-requested basis." This new policy will lead to benefits for urban planners, scientists, and private parties that had to deal with lower-resolution data.
